| If you are looking for an affordable Tube bender that will produce quality mandrel bends than you will not want to pass up these plans. If you have looked around you will know that a precision tube bender will start at about $600. After doing my homework and understanding the difference between a pipe bender and a tube bender I was ready to take on the challenge " Build a low cost, high quality tube bender". What I am offering is the fruits of my labor. I was able to locate an online die supplier that produces precision tube dies at a very good price. This was the key component to getting a true mandrel bend. Using standard steel tube and a hardware store hydraulic jack I created this little beauty. With a minimal investment and some ingenuity I was able to produce a high quality tube bender for less than half of what it would have cost me to buy one. If you can weld, drill and cut steel than you can build this bender. Best OF All This Bender Requires No Machining. | |
